We have had great success engaging the local community through Facebook. Getting stories, photos and volunteers. Firstly we asked all our team members to:

Logon to / join Facebook, then Search > [your town/village name], History, heritage etc > Groups tab and then join (consider joining the general groups as well)

Once joined, click on search > [your street/road] and see what is already there. Save any that you think would be useful but make a note of details, and ask and always credit the person whose photo it is. Also worth renaming photo from IMG232.jpg to something more descriptive eg 62StradbrokeRd1942.jpg tutorial here 🏛️ and below
